Dear Travis High School Parents and Families,
Welcome to Travis High School, home of the Rebels! My name is Nohemi Castillo, and I am excited to serve as your Parent Support Specialist.
The education and growth of our children depend on a successful partnership between you and Travis High School. Your involvement is essential to our community!
As your Parent Support Specialist, I am here to assist you in several ways:
- Connect with Resources: Find community services and helpful resources tailored to your family's needs.
- Support Student Success: Attend workshops throughout the school year designed to give you tools to help your child succeed.
- Build School Leadership: Join and share your input through the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) and the Campus Advisory Council (CAC).
- Become a Parent Volunteer: Get involved directly on campus! Volunteers are deeply valued and needed (orientation is required prior to volunteering).
3 Fun Facts About Me:
- My favorite title is Grandma: I have a little grandson who constantly keeps me smiling!
- I'm a kid at heart: I still love classic favorites like Rainbow Brite, Care Bears, and My Little Pony.
- Dog lover: I absolutely love Westies (West Highland Terriers).

¡Bienvenidos a la escuela preparatoria Travis, casa de los Rebels! Mi nombre es Nohemi Castillo y estoy encantada de servir como su Especialista de Apoyo para Padres.
La educación de nuestros estudiantes depende de una asociación de éxito entre usted y la escuela Travis. Por eso su participación es tan importante. ¡No hay nadie como usted!
Como su Especialista de Apoyo para Padres, puedo ayudarle de varias maneras:
- Encontrar recursos: Ayudarle a localizar servicios necesarios en nuestra comunidad y recursos en la escuela.
- Aprender sobre la escuela: Asistir a talleres para padres durante el año para aprender cómo ayudar a su hijo/a a tener éxito.
- Ser líderes escolares: Participar con su opinión y apoyo en la Asociación de Padres y Maestros (PTA) y el Consejo Asesor de la Escuela (CAC).
- Ser un Padre Voluntario: ¡Los voluntarios son bienvenidos y muy necesarios! (Se requiere asistir a una orientación de voluntarios).

- ¡Ser abuela es mi título favorito! Tengo un nieto pequeñito que siempre me hace sonreír.
