Travis ECHS Community Newsletter

Travis Community,

This week is Counselor Appreciation Week! We want to thank our school counselors, licensed mental health providers, and social workers for showing up and supporting us in so many ways! We appreciate all of our counseling staff!

We also begin this month observing Black History Month. February is a time to reflect and celebrate the achievements of African Americans. This month, in addition to school activities, we will celebrate Black History by featuring Black artists in the newsletter each week.

Looking ahead to this week, Rebels in our STAAR/End-of-Course (EOC)-tested subjects will be taking Interim STAAR EOC Assessments over the next two weeks. These tests are designed to help us monitor and prepare for the EOC tests. Parents, please remind your student to come to school with a charged laptop and charger!

Lastly, A friendly reminder that this Friday is a Student Holiday and a Staff Professional Development Day, and there will be no school.

Important Reminders this week:

  • PTSA will be hosting a Winter Dance for Rebels on February 23rd. They are looking for volunteers for everything from ticket sales to chaperoning. Please sign up by filling out this form
  • We want to invite parents to contact our Parent Support Specialist, Ms. Martha Ralston to schedule an appointment if you need any assistance with online enrollment (registration) for next school year. All students must be registered online before the beginning of school in August. You can register online at https://www.austinisd.org/enrollFor assistance, contact Ms. Ralston at 512-414-2527 extension 30783.
